The Eiffel Tower is no doubt the most famous monument and perhaps the most visited in the world.
Designed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel and built for the Universal Exposition in 1889, the Eiffel tower boasts 1665 steps to reach the top which stands 325 metres tall. 18 000 pieces of steel and 2 500 000 rivets were necessary to finish this outstanding monument.
